Dear Sangha, and Friends of Kobun,

Jikoji's Funds Raising will strengthen Jikoji's teaching and meditation programs that are currently borrowing from our general funds. Jikoji's revenue from hosting guests and groups has been ended by the corona virus closure, yet our expenses continue, We hope you will help. You can become a Subscribing Member. With your continuing help over the next few years we also hope to modernize and finish the renovation of Jikoji's Buildings.

Please donate what you can; your donations to Jikoji are tax-deductible. Whatever amount you choose to contribute will make an important difference in sustaining Kobun Chino Otogawa Roshi's teachings and practice. Click on Payments and Contributions. And even if you even cannot contribute at this time, please give us your comments or suggestions. We would love to hear from you.

History: Kobun founded Jikoji Zen Center in 1982. He was raised in his family's monastery in Japan, trained as a priest, and moved to the US in the late 1960s. Kobun taught Zen, initially in the Bay area and in Santa Cruz. Later he also helped found centers in New Mexico and Europe. He was also an important teaching influence for San Francisco Zen Center and for the Sangha founded by Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche.

Sincerely, in the Dharma,

Michael Newhall
